You built a thriving business.

You can make it a lasting one even as you transition out of the company.

My name is Chip Covin. I have over 20 years of experience growing companies and am looking for an established business to buy and operate for the long term.

As you contemplate exiting your business, are you wondering…

  • What happens to my employees and their families?

  • Who will take care of the customers who depend on us?

  • Does the business we spent years building just disappear?

  • Can I sell it? To whom? How would that work?

… is there a way for everyone to win?

I am an independent, local buyer and operator for your business. My goal is to grow the business, the team, and your legacy for the long term.

Continuity and Stability

I am dedicated to ensuring a smooth transition for all stakeholders. I invest to own the business with no timeline to exit. Your legacy continues with me.

Employee and Client Focus

Your team and client relationships are the heart of the business. I will prioritize the well-being of employees and the satisfaction of valued clients because that is good for everyone.

Vision for Growth

I will be operating in the company day-to-day, plan to grow the business and have the skills, experience, and resources to do it.

Is your business a fit?

The fastest way to determine that is for us to have a quick, casual conversation. My contact information is at the bottom of the page. But, here are some general characteristics:

About

My career over the past 6 years has been focused on advising large organizations in a variety of industries to top and bottom-line growth via operational improvement. Previously, I held operational roles including Managing Director at Charles Schwab as well as leadership positions in a variety of business functions. I graduated from Duke University with my MBA and the University of North Carolina – Greensboro with degrees in Finance, Information Systems, and History.

I lead Continuity Path in search of a business to manage and grow. I am advised by a group of entrepreneurs and executives who have successfully bought and operated companies in multiple industries. Critically, this deal team is best-in-class to provide certainty of the deal closing on acceptable terms.

Away from work, I live in the Raleigh-Durham area with my wife. We enjoy spending time with family, friends, and exploring new places. I keep physically active - cross-training, swimming, hiking or mountain biking several times a week. These generally keep me out of trouble and out of my wife’s hair.
